Over most of Europe, from north to south, the weather forecast charts have been dark red as record-breaking temperatures soar to previously unseen levels. Wild forest fires ravage Spain, France, Italy, California and many other places. To many people the realisation of climate change is becoming uncomfortably clear and in many cases, life threatening. We know the answers already. It is just a question of putting them into action.
Simultaneously, Europe is facing a crisis of energy supply as a result of the political sanctions put in place following the Russian invasion of the Ukraine. These are indeed desperate times. Much of the solution to both, is the faster adoption of green renewable energy and green lifestyles. For that reason the GDA GREEN AWARD was established some time ago in order to let people share ideas of solving our green challenges. The pandemic has demonstrated very well indeed that even small changes in individual behaviour can really have a large accumulative effect when they are repeated by a large number of citizens.
Help GDA to demonstrate and show that new green solutions are the right way forward for a cleaner more habitable planet. The GREEN AWARD is dedicated to any project or product that actively encourages or increases our adoption of more sustainable materials or processes. That can also entail a reduction in our reliance on fossil-fuel sources. It can be a product or a change of material. It can be a process that changes the way we use power. It can be new types of technology where fossil fuels are not necessary. Share your ideas and projects with GDA.
