GDA Awards – Time to Rethink, Reform, and Rebuild

Over the years, the GDA Awards have developed rapidly, bringing international attention to remarkable innovators, creative thinkers, and deserving winners from around the world.

GDA has always been different from conventional award schemes. What began with a focus on design has evolved into a much broader recognition of ideas, innovations, and initiatives that engage with the real challenges of our changing world.

Now, as artificial intelligence transforms the creative landscape and opens extraordinary new possibilities, we believe it is time to reconsider how best GDA can contribute to a real and human future using maximum creativity.

We have therefore decided to take a break – to recalibrate, reform, and rebuild. All categories of the GDA Awards will close on 31 December 2026, as we undertake a fundamental restructuring of the entire awards programme.

All applications already received will be honoured and processed. However, we will no longer accept new applications, effective immediately. We are very proud of what GDA has achieved through the years, and we are grateful to everyone who has contributed to this success.
